About Me:
It was meant to be...
I first got interested in Voice Acting in high school. I had many people tell me what a nice voice I have, and how calming and soothing it can be. At that time, I was living in a small town, and there weren't any recording studios around, so I thought about trying my hand at acting. A severe case of stage fright put an end to that. Despite that, my voice has served me well throughout my career in various customer oriented jobs. I was very good one on one with clients, and had a way about me that tended to put them at ease.
Later on, I became a mom to two beautiful children. I decided to be a stay at home mom so I could spend more time with them. They loved listening to me bring stories to life as I read books to them every day. That also gave me great practice toward my eventual voice over career. After they started school, I decided to go back into the workforce, but after a knee injury and surgery, I was back home. However... things have a way of working out they way they should. While at home, the inspiration came to me about voice acting again, and the rest is history.

Determination
Even though I had no experience in the voice over industry, I was determined that I would succeed. I researched night and day, bought a cheap mic and headset, set up a cheap PVC pipe and packing blanket vocal booth, and set off to find a voice acting coach. As I started gaining experience, I gradually started upgrading my equipment. I now have a professional vocal booth set up in my home where I can record any time of the night or day. I still work with my coach, as there is always more to learn.
